Facebook Business

Seven Businesses    1. Real Estate Video Sells (Local) 2. BizVid Communications (Local) 3. Helium Films USA (International) 4. Parchelle Tashi Media (Local) Women-Owned Black Owned  5. 360 Fly.Video (Local) 6. Schipes Productions (Local)  7. Peter Oliver Video Productions  All the businesses I chose are video production companies in some capacity. I started with these types of companies because in most cases when they create videos for clients they may use voice-over artists. I sought out mostly local companies because I felt that the communication between me and them would be faster as we are in the same time zone. Although, they are all video production companies they all specialize in different areas. Some do real estate, which is hot in San Diego County right now, while others do things with all types of businesses. I also sought out a women-owned company as well, which is sometimes hard to find. That company specifically helps companies with their marketing...

Facebook Insights

Post Reach  Post Engagement  Why is each of them important?  Post Reach is important because it means how many screens your post is getting too. it cannot guarantee how many people are reading and seeing it but, that it was displayed on a screen. Plus, there are different types of reach in the Facebook world. Post reach can show you the overall health of your page. It will be able to tell you if your page is doing poorly or not.  Post Engagement, tells you if anyone is actually interacting with the posts that you have made on your page. This is important because you can see what is happening on your page, unlike post engagement where you only see how many screens it has been on.  What can you learn from each? Post Reach can tell you your views(screen views). Post Engagement can tell you if the posts are working and people are engaging with the material in them. If people like your posts you’re getting feedback and can gauge what is working in your content and wh...

Defining Target Markets

Image
I reviewed Subway and Hungry Bear.  As soon as I went to Subway's website there was a call to action. I didn't even get to look at the website! Right way there was a huge ORDER NOW 15% off sign. I personally hate that, I like when I have a minute to look things over.  Hungry Bear is more subtle, they give you time to look over the website. They show pictures of their food, but nothing stopping me from scrolling to see what the business is about. It is just a logo with a picture of their sandwich in the background.  I like that nothing telling me what to do.  I reviewed the menu on Subway's website it has "view the menu and order" as the same option. Which is great, but then I have to put in my location(zip code). I typically like to stay private so I didn't enjoy this part. I just wanted to see the menu. This tells me that they (Subway) are trying to appeal to a worldwide audience instead of a local one. Which makes sense because they are a worldwide company...

Developing a Brand

Image
I am currently in the process of starting my own voice-over business. I am still in the development stage and the process has been really slow. Since the pandemic turned my (everyone's) life upside down I had to slow down my efforts a bit. It takes time to develop a webpage and branding, plus having them be consistent. Especially, when I have so many ideas to use. I will be going through my ideas for my brand. I currently do not have a logo, but I have been thinking about different ideas. I was thinking that my logo could be a microphone (a little cliche), or just my name with a nice tag line. When I do have my logo I don't think my tagline would be a part of my logo. It might just be on the side or on the cards.  I essentially would be the face of my own brand, or rather my voice would be "face" but you can't put your face on a card. Plus, with a voice-over business, your looks would give people an idea of what you sound like and it can be wrong. Therefore, I w...

Week 3 Part A: Aesthetics, Design, and Branding

Branding will always be important. It is even a part of our slang. People will say "Oh, that is so on-brand for them."  Meaning, that is exactly what we expect that person to do.  https://www.toyota.com Overall Toyota has a great website, there are a few problems that a customer may have an issue with when looking at the website. When I first went to the website, it asked me if it could track my location. I hate that right away, it matters not where my location is if I just want to look at the website.  There is no search box at the top of the screen, if I want to look for something I have to scroll all over the website to find what I am looking for and see all of their cars even when I don't want to see that information. The white background is clean, but at times it makes the screen hard to look at overall.  The website is very professional, it is a large company and we would expect top tier websites from them at all times. Everything is clean and for the mos...

Week 2 Part A: Communication Between Business & Consumer

Image
As social media has grown it has become easier and easier for a consumer to reach a company or get the help that they want or rather a better end result. Once up a time there use to be a time when companies would only give any attention to a customer if they wrote in and mailed a letter to a company. Consumers are taking things to social media to get what they want from a business. I have a unique experience with this because I was the one customers would call and scream at when something didn’t go well. Then if my department did a good or a bad job, then the consumer would go and post online Facebook, or twitter and describe their experience. I know they weren’t mad at me but rather the outcome to their own problem.  Companies now have a great opportunity to reach out to consumers and deliver outstanding results and they do this with the help of social media. In the past consumers would often feel helpless if they have been left on hold or didn’t get a good end result or ju...
