Facebook Business

Seven Businesses

1. Real Estate Video Sells (Local)

2. BizVid Communications (Local)

3. Helium Films USA (International)

4. Parchelle Tashi Media (Local) Women-Owned Black Owned

5. 360 Fly.Video (Local)

6. Schipes Productions (Local)

7. Peter Oliver Video Productions

All the businesses I chose are video production companies in some capacity. I started with these types of companies because in most cases when they create videos for clients they may use voice-over artists. I sought out mostly local companies because I felt that the communication between me and them would be faster as we are in the same time zone. Although, they are all video production companies they all specialize in different areas. Some do real estate, which is hot in San Diego County right now, while others do things with all types of businesses. I also sought out a women-owned company as well, which is sometimes hard to find. That company specifically helps companies with their marketing plans and tactics.

1.Real Estate Video Sells posts about twice a week with quality posts. They typically showcase how they have helped an agent and what they can do for the agent. They are well written and thought out, their clients seem to respond well to their posts. I see them as a good fit for my business because they might need some voices in their video productions.

2. BizVid Communications posts things about how they do business and how they respond to their own customers. They are simple and easy-to-understand posts, they are not very engaging, but I see potential in them as a client. It may take time to build a relationship with them, but I think it would be a good fit. As they are a production company, they use videos in their posts. The videos are of them behind the scenes and what production might look like for one of their own clients. I can learn that a client may want to see what they are in for when they hire you. Plus, customers are sometimes interested in how the company works.

3. Helium Films USA posts about once a month, but when they do post it is very engaging content. The images are engaging and really show what it is like working with them, they don’t have many likes, but they do use a lot of hashtags. They have lots of followers more than I thought I would see for a production company.  I can learn that you can have a great business and not make a lot of posts. The production business doesn’t seem to rely on Facebook much, but I can see it being helpful for this company.

4. Parchelle Tashi Media (Local). This company has not posted anything since March 2021. I do like the posts that the company does have as they are fun and straight to the point. I do not see many likes on the page, however, she has clients that have rated her and they are all good. This makes me wonder if she is still in business since they don’t have any recent posts on their page. I can learn from this page that even a simple post is better than no engagement at all.

5. 360 Fly.Video. I picked this company because they do their own editing as well. Which I like since I am not into editing myself yet. I am getting there though, it just takes a lot of time. This company also focuses on real estate, and they might be a good client for me. Their last post was in July. Previous to that it was in December. This company does not post a lot and I think It might be hurting them. They have little to no customer engagement on their page, but they could have traffic going to their website. They use images only and have very few videos. A part of their tag line states that they share the content that they create, but I am not seeing that on their page. I can learn from this company that it may be helpful to follow through on the tagline.

6. Schipes Productions (Local). This company produces videos and music. I thought a contact here would be a good option as in my experience some production companies are usually looking for voices when one of their own clients asks for help or a voice for a product or training video etc. So, this person has NEVER posted anything, they have been in Facebook for the last 9 years. I am rethinking using him as I cannot even tell if they get any business at all from Facebook. I do like that they are local though and it might be worth wild to reach out to them. They have no images, no customer engagement, and no videos. Just a basic online presence. I can’t even tell if they are still in business. Disappointing.

7. Peter Oliver Video Productions. The last post from this company was years ago. However, I like his page. It is done very nicely and it shows his work behind the scenes. There are mostly images, but it looks so good. The images are classic as well are the videos, they aged well. I can learn from this page to pick images carefully. As they need to be able to be timeless and still draw people into the page. Not much customer engagement, but it does show that they have a footprint in San Diego video production.
