Developing Your Marketing Strategy

Instagram and Tik Tok, maybe my best options for voiceovers. I still do not like Facebook, I gave it up years ago, so it was very hard for me to return to it. Even for my business, I was not a happy camper to use it. However, I tried it and it gave me a chance to see what it is about. I think Instagram will give me the traffic that I am looking for to go straight to my website.  For my online marketing strategy, I will include more frequent posts and use more hashtags. Doing this will allow more people to find me and possibly lead to more site traffic overtime.  Although social media marketing is a great tool. I think spending about 40% of my time on social media would work. As most voice over artists are looking for auditions. The 40% would allow me time to still use it and get noticed, but focus on the other functions of my business as well.

Final Blog Post

Oh No! I felt like I disappeared for a little bit. being sick can take you out and it did. I haven't been sick for over a year and can you believe the surprise when I was laid up in and wanted to sit in pure darkness for weeks.  Well, I am here and I am trying to finish up what I can. This class has been interesting, I got to learn about people's experiences online and new businesses. I stepped out of my comfort zone for sure and well that was fun.  My social media usage has changed, I never thought I would go back to Facebook. I did, briefly, it is nice to have my business there, but it is still new and growing. I just don't like what Facebook has become, so I may not keep the page there. I have used Instagram for my business, I never thought I would need it, but I have found some good connections there. I was surprised when a few people reached out to me about voiceovers. That was exciting and I plan to see what comes of it, even though Instagram is owned by Meta (Face...

Advertising

Image
This was a bit confusing at first, because 1, I don't use Facebook a whole lot. Two, it was hard to figure out the best advertising for VoiceOver as you typically audition for roles. Three, it was hard to think of what to say since I find it hard to write at times.   The first image is asking if you are looking for a voice over talent for your project. Just simple with my logo and asking to come check out my website. I then realized in Facebook, there are different types of advertising options. You can promote a post, or have an ad that is more geared toward getting bookings on your site, or asking for a call to action. After I realized that my second one is asking if the viewer is having a hard time finding their voice and to come check out my web page for more information. The last ad is more about the post I created regarding finding the right voice. In that ad I would be including my own link to my website to have people come and find me as their correct voice for their project...

Week 13 Part A: Online Advertising - Analysis of the Marketplace

The graphics and images draw my attention first. If the images are engaging and pop off the screen, then I am likely to stop and read what the advertisement is about. On Twitter, I mostly look to see who the ad is from. If it has a catchy tag line or hashtag I am likely to look in the comments and see what everyone is saying about the brand. Ads on Twitter and Instagram typically have a call to action. Their first step on Twitter is that they want you to stop, like it, and possibly click on the link and read more. These actions happen so fast. That is what they want, just a like so that your followers can view the same information.  These to me are typically annoying and I don't want to see them on my Twitter timeline. The advertisements where I am being targeted for movie releases or click bait articles. I despise them, but I know I probably clicked on something to make the algorithm believe that I was interested in the topic in the first place.  On Instagram I do not mind th...

Business Specific Online Tools

There are many social media sites for business. Linkedin seems to be the top one currently. Which is great. I go there to get information from other voice-over artists and they are a good source with tips and the community likes to mentor talent. However, I might go there to make connections and those connections could lead to new work opportunities. So far my business, I would use their site.  Meetup is another good source, but I would not say it is for business. I find this website more friendly to people who share a hobby or particular interest. This could actually be beneficial to a storefront business if they wanted to host an event. They could have information on their website or social media pages directing people to review meetups to see the events at their store. This service is not free to the store or business there is a small fee for using the site. Over time this small fee could be fine if they are getting people to purchase items or use their services. This site...

Comments Made for Marketing with Social Media  James Anear Nancy Williams  Kate Strong All my classmates had valid points. However, I do think it is wise to dabble in all social media if possible. You will never know what will turn up.
